Yanked from Auction

A letter Michael Jackson wrote to Lisa Marie Presley -- complaining about the problem that ultimately killed the singer -- has been yanked from the auction block after Lisa Marie pitched a fit.

Lisa Marie has not said why she wanted the letter pulled, but it's pretty clear -- Michael struggled with sleep deprivation for years until he found a quick fix in the form of Propofol.

The letter -- written sometime between 1993 and 1996, reads as follows: "Smell here [arrow with box] Lisa I truly need this rest I haven't slept litterally [sic] in 4 days now. I need to be away from phones and Business people. I must take care of my health first Im' [sic] crazy for you Love Turd."

As TMZ first reported, Jackson was doctor shopping for Propofol before he hooked up with Conrad Murray.

So Julien's Auction in Beverly Hills -- the same company selling off Elvis' crypt -- has capitulated to Elvis' daughter. Owner Darren Julien tells TMZ, "I'm assuming it's a personal nature, and we wanted to honor the request and continue our good relationship with Ms. Presley."

We can read between the lines.

Lisa Marie Presley (44) hat jetzt verhindert, dass ein ganz persönlicher Brief von ihrem verstorbenen Ex-Mann Michael Jackson bei einer Auktion unter den Hammer kommt. Die handschriftliche Notiz stammt Berichten zufolge aus dem Zeitraum zwischen 1993 und 1996 und enthält wohl auch Details über Jacksons Kampf mit der Schlaflosigkeit.

Der Sänger verstarb im Juni 2009 bekanntlich an einer Überdosis verschiedener Medikamente.

In dem Brief heißt es angeblich: “Lisa, ich brauche jetzt wirklich Ruhe, weil ich die letzten vier Tage nicht richtig geschlafen habe. Ich muss Abstand bekommen von Telefonen und Geschäftsleuten. Meine Gesundheit hat jetzt Vorrang. Ich bin verrückt nach dir.”

Der Brief sollte eigentlich bei einer Auktion in Beverly Hills, Kalifornien versteigert werden. Das Mindestangebot lag bei 1.200 Dollar. Nun wurde das Angebot plötzlich zurückgezogen, nachdem Presley den berühmten Auktionator kontaktiert hatte. Auktionshaus-Besitzer Darren Julien erklärte ‘TMZ’: “Ich gehe davon aus, dass ihr Anliegen persönliche Gründe hatte. Wir haben ihre Bitte erfüllt, da wir eine gute Beziehung zu Ms. Presley haben.”

Im nächsten Monat will das Auktionshaus übrigens auch das ehemalige Grab von Elvis Presley verkaufen (wir berichteten).

A hand-written letter Michael Jackson sent to then-wife Lisa Marie Presley - which reveals his nickname was 'Turd' - has been removed from auction.

Michael Jackson signed letters to Lisa Marie Presley as 'Turd'.
A note penned by the late 'Thriller' hitmaker to his then-wife - who he was married to between 1994 and 1996 - reveals his apparent nickname, which is a slang term for faeces, and also details his need for sleep.
The handwritten letter - which was has been removed from sale for Julien's Auctions forthcoming Music Icons sale - reads: ''I truly need this rest. I haven't slept litterally in 4 days and I need to be away from phones and business people. I must take care of my health first. Im' crazy for you. (sic)''
The sign off then says: ''Love, Turd,''
The letter has been removed from the sale following a request from Lisa Marie.
Julien's Auctions CEO Darren Julien complied with the request because of the letter's ''personal nature'' and his company's desire to maintain a ''good relationship'' with Lisa Marie.
It is not yet known what will now happen to the note.
Michael's battle with insomnia is well known.
Dr. Conrad Murray - who was convicted of the involuntary manslaughter of the star last November - has previously admitted he administered powerful anaesthetic Propofol to his famous patient almost every day for two months until his death in June 2009 because the singer ''loved it'' and felt it was the only drug that could cure his insomnia.

Michael Jackson & sein skurriler Kosename

Los Angeles - Michael Jacksons Kosename ist jetzt bekannt geworden. Der Sänger unterschrieb seine handgeschriebenen Briefe an seine damalige Ehefrau, Lisa Marie Presley, immer mit dem englischen Wort "Turd" - was im Deutschen soviel wie Mistkerl heisst oder im härteren Fall auch Exkrement.

Einer dieser Briefe sollte bei einer Auktion versteigert werden, das Angebot wurde nun aber zurückgezogen, da das Schreiben für die Öffentlichkeit zu persönlich ist und das Auktionshaus mit Frau Presley eine gute Beziehung beibehalten möchte. Was mit dem Schriftstück nun passiert, ist noch unklar.

Der King of Pop verstarb am 25. Juni 2009. Er wurde leblos in seiner Villa in L.A. aufgefunden. Jackson hatte eine Überdosis des Narkosemittels Propofol im Blut. (Fan-Lexikon berichtete)
