The world has watched as the Conrad Murray trial began. Murray was the doctor of Michael Jackson when he passed away on June 25, 2009. The prosecution has called its last witness to the stand, Dr. Steven Shafer, and thus far, he has been on the witness stand for four days, and will be tomorrow as well. Dr. Shafer is an expert on propofol, and during his testimony, he revealed that he himself drank propofol once, to see its effect, prior to conducting a study on humans, to see if propofol being orally ingested would have any effect.
As insession.blogs.cnn.com reports, according to the testimony of Dr. Shafer, he explained that he drank 20 milliliters of propofol. prior to conducting a study with six humans. Dr. Paul White -- the defense' witness -- apparently had said in a report for the defense that oral ingestion may have been a possibility in Michael Jackson's passing. Dr. Shafer testified that he was "disappointed" because there is zero possibility of that having happened to Michael Jackson. The defense began its cross-examination of Dr. Shafer on Friday, and it is expected to continue tomorrow.
What do you think of the witnesses that have been called to testify thus far? Have you been following the Conrad Murray trial closely? Are you going to watch the trial until a verdict is reached?
