Anthony Toto, Staff Writer | “If the whole world had to answer right now, just to tell you once again, who’s bad?” The answer is Michael Jackson. Twenty-five years ago, Michael Jackson revolutionized the music landscape once again with his groundbreaking third, full-length studio album, “Bad.”
After the culture-defining success of “Thriller,” all eyes on were on the King of Pop to deliver another record-breaking masterpiece. Needless to say, critics and fans held unrealistic expectations that would crumble most artists.
In the face of intense pressure, Michael Jackson struck his doubters like a “Smooth Criminal.” In the prime of his career, Jackson raised the bar for music perfection as he dazzled the world with “Bad.”

The standard edition consists of two discs – the first disc containing re-mastered versions of all eleven tracks off “Bad,”. The songs sound fresh, finding a delicate balance between modern production technologies and vintage integrity.
Disc Two contains unreleased demos from the “Bad” sessions along with remixes from current popular acts. Artists and DJs such as Pitbull, Afrojack,and Nero incorporate modern electronic house music techniques for dance heavy remixes of “Bad,” and “Speed Demon.”
The unreleased demos capture Jackson’s mindset as he conducted songwriting for “Bad.” “Al Capone,” “Don’t Be Messin’ Around,” “Price of Fame” and “Song Groove” recall the fantastic melodies, rhythms and choruses originally found on the album.” For die-hard fans, these tracks serve as great, unreleased treasures.
The four-disc deluxe edition contains one of Jackson’s most critically acclaimed performances from Wembley Stadium in 1988 on DVD/CD for the first time, As an artist who strove for perfection, the concert showcases a Jackson at the pinnacle of his career.
