Language Barrier in Jury Room?

English was not the only language used in the jury deliberation room in Conrad Murray's case ... this according to a relative of one of the jurors ... and there may have been a language barrier in the juror room.

We're told at least 2 of the jurors began discussing the case in Spanish during the 8-hour deliberation.

A relative of one juror -- we'll call him juror A -- tells TMZ ... another juror -- juror B -- had "some trouble" understanding some of the testimony. During the deliberations juror A had to translate the testimony into Spanish to juror B.

In the questionnaire jurors were required to fill out, the first question read, "Do you have any difficulty reading, speaking or understanding English."

Michael Jackson's doctor Conrad Murray no longer licensed in Nevada


Michael Jackson’s doctor, found guilty of manslaughter on Monday, no longer has a medical license in Nevada, the Nevada Board of Medical Examiners confirmed Tuesday.

“Dr. Conrad Murray’s Nevada medical license expired in July and he did not renew,” said Edward Cousineau, the board’s deputy director. “In June of 2010 we entered into an agreement with (Murray’s) attorney restricting his practice in Nevada. He wasn’t allowed to do anything involving anesthesia.”

On Monday, a Los Angeles County jury convicted Murray of involuntary manslaughter in Jackson’s death in 2009. In a six-week trial, the jury found Murray guilty of administering propofol, a sleeping aid, to Jackson the night he died.

Jurors found that Murray, 58, acted with criminal negligence, which led to Jackson’s death. Murray argued that the singer gave himself an overdose of propofol and was responsible for his own death, according to trial reports.

The California Medical Board suspended Murray’s California license in January. That board is expected to revoke it permanently in light of the felony conviction. Murray had no previous license suspensions listed in California or Nevada.

Murray also is licensed to practice medicine in Texas. Medical board officials there did not immediately return calls Tuesday morning.

Cousineau said Murray could reapply for a Nevada license, but the state doesn’t allow the licensure of doctors who have a felony conviction related to the practice of medicine.

“That would be a big hurdle” in the way of being reinstated in Nevada, he said.

zwar hat ihm Nevada die lizenz nicht entzogen - das hätte aufgrund seiner falschen angaben spätesten im juni 2010 schon erfolgen müssen - aber auf jeden fall ist DIESE lizens JETZT schon mal endgültig flöten, denn selbst wenn er einen erneuten antrag stellen würde, kann ich mir nicht vorstellen, dass dem stattgegeben werden würde.....

bin mal gespannt, wie lange Texas für seine entscheidung braucht ;).....

The Michael Jackson Estate is lashing out at MSNBC -- saying it's "disgusted" with the network for planning to air the Conrad Murray documentary this weekend.

The Estate issued a statement ... saying, "Like so many of Michael’s fans, the Estate is also disgusted by MSNBC’s irresponsible and inexplicable decision to air a Conrad Murray 'documentary.'"

The statement continued, "The Co-Executors, John Branca and John McClain, are sending a letter to the top executives at Comcast, NBC Universal and MSNBC to express their disdain for their actions."

The MJ fans are predictably up in arms as well -- in fact, the group, "Justice 4 MJ" is trying to organize a global boycott of the documentary, "Michael Jackson and The Doctor: A Fatal Friendship" ... saying, "The only documentary we want to see is the one of Murray enjoying prison life."

aber noch mal zu Murray's lizenen:

das dokument, dass du heute um 10:28 h zu Murray's lizenz für Kalifornien eingestellt hast, hat noch den status von anfang des jahres, als seine lizenz bis zum prozessabschluss ausgesetzt wurde - zeigt also nicht wirklich den aktuellen stand ;)....

habe gerade mal auf der seite vom medical board california nachgeschaut - dort gibt es noch keinerlei informationen darüber, dass die lizenz jetzt entgültig entzogen wurde.....

zumindest hatten wir hier recht - und nicht die medien - dass die medical boards über die lizenzentziehungen entscheiden und das KEINE entscheidung des gerichtes ist.....

zwar berichten inzwischen mehrere stellen darüber, dass "laut medical board of california" Murray die lizenz entzogen wurde, aber eine offizielle stellungnahme vom board gibt es offenbar bis jetzt noch nicht....

The board now will open an investigation to determine whether or not to fully revoke Murray's right to practice medicine in the state, spokeswoman Jennifer Simoes said.

The main criteria in deciding whether to revoke, suspend or take other action against any doctor is assessing how substantial a crime is related to the practice of medicine. There is no timeline as to when the board might act regarding Murray, said Simoes.

suuuper! - ja mehr öffentlicher druck, um so größer sind die chancen, dass diese doku nicht nur nicht veröffentlicht wird, sondern auch, dass die "darsteller" bzw. beteiligten an dieser doku vielleicht sogar tatsächlich auch rechtliche probleme bekommen :).....

tja, und dann wird das wohl auch nichts mit dem geld - egal, für wen und egal, ob der sender womöglich schon gezahlt hat oder nicht :).....

Dr. Conrad Murray said he should have "walked away" from his famous patient instead of giving him the surgical anesthetic propofol to help him sleep.

In an interview with the "Today" show's Savannah Guthrie, scheduled to air Thursday and Friday, Murray said he believed he had weaned Michael Jackson off propofol three days before his death. Guthrie asked him why -- even when he felt he shouldn't be giving Jackson the drug -- he didn't leave his $150,000-a-month position.

"I should have walked away," Murray said. "But if also I walked away, I would have abandoned a friend."

He also tried to explain why he didn't call 911 when he found that the singer had stopped breathing, an oversight that one juror said was a significant issue for the deliberating panel.

"No one is allowed to come upstairs except for Mr. Jackson. His security is not allowed to enter the house," Murray said in response to Guthrie's question why he didn't call 911.

"You called his bodyguard," Guthrie said in a follow-up question. "Couldn't you have said: Call 911, and meet 'em at the gate?"

Murray answered: "Call 911" would still require him to call me back. I don't think he would do that, and I'm not about to leave a full explanation on the phone."

Instead, Murray began giving Jackson CPR. A security guard called for help 20 minutes later.

A jury on Monday convicted Murray of involuntary manslaughter. He faces a maximum sentence of four years in state prison and a minimum of probation.

ich finde jetzt deinen beitrag nicht, wo es um die berufungsabsichten von Murray's anwälten geht - ist aber auch egal, worum es geht, wissen wir ja im großen und ganzen ;).....

sie wollen demnach die ablehnung von richter Pastor auf zulassung gewisser "beweismitel" als berufungsgrund anführen und dabei geht es ihnen wohl in erster linie um

- MJ's vorangegangenen (angeblichen !) medikamentenkonsum
- MJ's angeblich desolater finanzsituation

ich würde sagen, da sollte Murray's verteidigung den ball aber besser ganz flach halten, denn wenn DIESE dinge zugelassen werden sollten, dann kann Murray's verteidigung auch nicht mehr verlangen, dass

- Murray's liebschaften
- Murray's desolate finanzsituation, seine schulden allgemein bei apotheken, banken etc.
- Murray's unterhaltsschulden
- seine anklage wegen häuslicher gewalt

und all die anderen "netten" dinge über den guten dog aus dem prozess ausgeklammert werden sollen..... und ob ihnen DANN eine berufung wirklich noch viel spaß machen würde, wage ich zu bezweifeln ;).....

abgesehen davon sind all diese dinge ja nun auch wirklich in KEINER weise relevant für das, was poor ConRAT Murray am 25.06.2009 getan hat....

sie haben sämtliche video von TII gesehen und mussten danach selbst zugeben, dass da absolut kein "verzweifelter und halbtoter" MJ zu sehen war - sondern das ganze gegenteil.....

und im gegensatz zu Murray hatte MJ trotz seiner zu dieser zeit vielleicht nicht unerheblichen schulden immer noch jede menge werte, die er hätte "verflüssigen" können - und von den summen, die dabei herausgekommen wären, träumt Murray wohl sein leben lang..... da wäre er selbst mit seiner 5 mio $ forderung längst nicht ran gereicht.....

nee, ich denke mal, das ist jetzt bloß erst mal heiße luft von denen und am ende bekommen wir auch dazu eine "erklärung", wonach sie darauf ja dann nur verzichtet haben, WEIL...(irgendwas fadenscheiniges).....

hätte Murray seine klappe aufgemacht und die WAHRHEIT gesagt, wäre er vielleicht sogar zumindest etwas glimpflicher davon gekommen - wer weiß?..... aber so - SELBER SCHULD !! :)

TODAY co-host Savannah Guthrie sits down with Dr. Conrad Murray in an exclusive interview airing Thursday, Nov. 10, and Friday, Nov. 11.

Conrad Murray told TODAY's Savannah Guthrie that he didn't call 911 when Michael Jackson stopped breathing because emergency responders would not have been able to get through the gate to the singer's home.

"No one is allowed to come upstairs except for Mr. Jackson," he said.

"You called his bodyguard," Guthrie said to Murray, who was the singer's personal physician when he died in 2009. "Couldn't you have said, 'Call 911, and meet 'em at the gate?"

Murray responded that he didn't want to "leave a full explanation on the phone," and that he didn't think Jackson's employee would return his call. Instead he began giving cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and a guard at Jackson's rented Los Angeles mansion eventually called the emergency number 20 minutes later.

On Monday, Murray was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in the 2009 death of the pop star. He is now in jail awaiting sentencing on Nov. 29. He faces up to four years in prison and the loss of his medical license.

Murray also told Guthrie that he didn't tell the paramedics on the scene that Jackson had been given propofol because "it was inconsequential" as the effects of the drug would have worn off by that time. When Guthrie asked why not supply the information anyway, he insisted the drug "had no effect."

The doctor has been criticized for leaving the room to use his cell phone while the singer slept, and for making phone calls and sending texts and emails while Jackson was apparently dying. Murray told Guthrie that Jackson had finally fallen asleep and was in no need of his presence.

"Am I gonna sit over him, sit around him, tug on his feet, do anything unusual to wake him up?" Murray said of leaving the singer alone. "No."

Murray also says he felt that just three days before Jackson's death, the singer was successfully weaned off of the surgical anesthetic propofol upon which he depended for sleep. When Guthrie questioned why he had left the singer in a situation where he might have a chance to inject himself with the drug, something that was suggested by Murray's defense team, the doctor said "that was not a foreseeable situation."

Guthrie also asked Murray why, when he felt he shouldn't be giving Jackson propofol, he didn't walk away from his $150,000 a month position as Jackson's personal physician.

ehrlich - ich habe soooo die schna**** voll von den ganzen lügengeschichten dieses kerls - so viel kann ich gar nicht essen, wie ich kot*** möchte.....

was ich an dem ganzen aber wirklich interessant finde:

Murray hat demnach letzte woche donnerstag + freitag dieses interview gegeben.... da lief noch der prozess und es gab ein gag-order, die ja wohl für JEDEN galt !!!.... aber Murray ist ja bekanntlich in ALLEN dingen der meinung, für IHN gelten verbote oder regeln NICHT.....

na, da hoffe ich doch, dass auch DAS noch ein richtig schönes nachspiel für poor CONRAT Murray haben wird.... zum freund macht er sich richter Pastor mit all seinen eskapaden ganz bestimmt nicht :).....

für den(Murray) wäre selbst diese bezeichnung noch eine auszeichnung ;).... und für mich gibt es nur noch eine einzige erklärung für das verhalten dieses typen: er ist ein SOZIOPATH !......

ja, päusken kann man sich zur zeit eigentlich gar nicht leisten - es rund auf allen ebenen :)..... dabei hätte ich auch angenommen, dass es jetzt nach dem urteil zumindest bis zum 29.11. erstmal ruhiger wird.... aber da haben wir die rechnung ohne poor CONRAT Murray gemacht....

ich liiiiebe diesen satz auch ganz dolle - und mein KLICK gehört für mich genauso noch immer dazu :) :)

TMZ has obtained a blistering letter sent to NBC and MSNBC execs from the co-executors of Michael Jackson's estate, attacking the networks' ethics for giving Conrad Murray a platform in an upcoming documentary.

In the letter John Branca and John McClain grouse that Murray has no qualms about "smearing the reputation of his 'friend,'" even though he refused to testify under penalty of perjury in his trial.

In the letter, the co-executors doubt that Murray got paid only $1 for his participation in the doc. In fact, people connected with the documentary hedged when TMZ asked about Murray's payment.

And the co-executors say, the networks are using "moral loopholes" -- claiming it was shot before Murray was convicted -- "in order to boost ratings at a struggling cable network."

ja, nur vor gericht hat er die zähne nicht auseinander gebracht :)....

wobei ich ja den eindruck hatte, Murray selbst wollte am ende schon noch was sagen, aber Chernoff hat das verhindert.... logisch hatte der angst, dass Murray mit seiner aussage und erst recht im kreuzverhörfeuer von Walgren auch noch die letzten verteidigungschancen platt macht - und diese angst war zweifellos nicht unbegründet :)....

könnte mir sogar vorstellen, dass Chernoff Murray damit gedroht hat, ihm den ganz mist noch im gerichtssaal vor die füße zu werfen, falls sich Murray ihm (Chernoff) widersetzt....

so wie diese situation geschildert wurde - Murray überlegte.... seufzte.... blickte dann erst zu Flanagääh.... dann zu Chernoff.....seufzte wieder.... und sagte dann, ermöchte nicht aussagen....

und Flanagääähn hätte Murray in Walgren's hölle schicken wollen (war da wohl gerade mal wieder nicht herr seiner sinne :), aber Chernoff war derjenige, der das partout nicht wollte :).....

aber ist auch egal, WO und OB dieser soziopath den mund aufmacht - außer lügen kommt da eh nichts bei raus, und wer noch immer auch nur auf EIN wahres wort von Murray hofft oder wartet, von dem möchte ich wirklich wissen, wovon der/die nachts so träumt.....
