Floats Katherine $6 Million
To Pay Off S. Korean Concert Suit
Call Katherine Jackson the Six Million Dollar Mama -- because the Michael Jackson Estate just loaned her that amount to pay off her settlement with a South Korean newspaper.
According to an order entered by the court -- the Estate is giving Katherine the $6 mill to help her wrap up a 17-year old lawsuit filed against her by the Segye Times.
The paper originally won a $4 million judgment against Katherine and others for failing to deliver on a promised Jackson family concert -- but with interest she would owe more than $14 million.
Katherine's attorneys and the paper agreed on a settlement of $6 million -- which clearly she couldn't pay without help from the Estate.
There are strings attached -- according to court docs, Katherine must repay the full amount to the Estate, plus interest, within one year. But check this out -- she got a hell of a deal -- the interest rate is only .16%.
The Bank of Michael Jackson ... best rates ANYWHERE!

Nach 17 Jahren, wird es ja auch endlich mal Zeit seine Rechungen zu bezahlen. Schließlich hat damals die Familie den Bockmist gemacht und nicht MJ.

06.10.2011 um 00:14Jackson doctor enjoys a night off from his manslaughter trial... with girlfriend who happens to be star witness
By Martin Robinson
Last updated at 3:16 PM on 5th October 2011
Date: Dr. Conrad Murray dines out with his girlfriend Nicole Alvarez and their child Che Giovanni following her testimony at his trial yesterday
This would have been a fascinating dinner date to sit in on.
Last night Michael Jackson's former doctor Conrad Murray took his son and girlfriend out for a meal after she had put in a star turn at his manslaughter trial.
Actress Nicole Alverez, 29, earlier told the Los Angeles court about how their relationship became entangled with the life of Jackson, and her excitement at going to the home of the King of Pop in 2008.
Ms Alvarez, who had given birth to Murray's son in March 2009, recalled the doctor telling her that he was Jackson's private physician and about their friendship.
'It was actually a surprise. I remember him saying he wanted me to meet someone. I didn't know where I was going. I was speechless,' Ms Alvarez said. 'I couldn't believe I was meeting Michael Jackson.
'Michael was very interested in the baby,' she said. 'He saw my stomach growing with the pregnancy. He wanted to schedule a visit so he could see my son.'
Ms Alvarez said she brought their little boy Che Giovanni to Jackson's home twice for visits.
Prosecutors attempted to depict her as a conduit for Murray's purchases of the powerful anaesthetic propofol which Jackson craved to aid his sleep.
Murray is charged with involuntary manslaughter, accused of giving the star an overdose of the drug and failing to respond properly when he found him not breathing.
He has pleaded not guilty, and his legal team claim Jackson took the fatal dose himself.
Ms Alvarez told the court how she received many boxes of drugs for Murray in April, May and June 2009 but did not open them and had no idea of their contents.
The pharmacist who sent them to her Santa Monica apartment from Las Vegas testified that he thought he was shipping to Murray's medical office.
FedEx and pharmacy receipts displayed by Deputy District Attorney Deborah Brazil showed that they contained large amounts of propofol, sedatives and a skin whitening cream used to treat the skin disease vitiligo from which Jackson suffered.
Tim Lopez, the Las Vegas pharmacist who took orders from Murray, testified that over four months he purchased 255 vials of propofol, 20 vials of the sedative lorazepam, 60 vials of midazolam and several tubes of lidocaine which was intended to numb injection areas. He also purchased saline solution in IV bags.
When they settled into her Santa Monica apartment, Ms Alvarez also said Murray began keeping odd hours but she never asked why.
'He would leave at about 9pm and not return until the morning. He would tell her he was "going to work",' she said, and she presumed he was at Jackson's home.
But in a twist Ms Alvarez was grilled by prosecutors along with several other of Conrad's former girlfriends, including a cocktail waitress and a Las Vegas club worker.
Murray's phone records from the day Jackson died were displayed in court as a backdrop for the testimony of those at the other end of the phone.
Three of them were current and former girlfriends and one was the manager of Murray's Houston office.
Ms Alvarez said she received a phone call from Murray as he rode in an ambulance beside Jackson's lifeless body on June 25, 2009.
'I remember him telling me that he was on the way to the hospital in an ambulance with Mr Jackson and not to be alarmed,' she said. 'He was worried I would hear about it.'
Evidence: A delivery invoice from Applied Pharmacy showing an order of the anesthetic propofol ordered by Dr. Conrad Murray and delivered to his girlfriend's flat
Evidence: A cheque made out to Applied Pharmacy from Dr. Conrad Murray's medical practice in Las Vegas was shown in the courtroom during his trial yesterday
Three more calls to her were recorded that day but she did not remember the conversations.
Sade Anding, Murray's cocktail waitress-ex, told jurors that Murray called her at 11:51 am on the day Jackson died, but stopped paying attention to her during the call.
'I pressed the phone to my ear and I heard mumbling and voices. Like the phone was in his pocket. I heard coughing,' she said.
Earlier, Murray also left a message on the phone of Michelle Bella, an exotic dancer he met in Las Vegas the previous year, the court heard.
The court was told that Murray, 58, was on the phone for 46 minutes during the hour before Jackson died while prosecutors claim he should have been caring for the singer.
The manslaughter trial of the doctor charged over Michael Jackson's death will today move into its 'CSI' phase, with jurors set to hear next from investigators and detectives.
The panel will also hear from Dr Conrad Murray himself.
Prosecutors plan to play a two-hour interview police carried out with the Houston-based cardiologist two days after the King of Pop's June 2009 death.
Transcripts of discussions between the judge and lawyers yesterday show that the prosecution's next witnesses are investigators who helped put together the timeline which is central to the government's case.

Bedside Lined with Pill Bottles
7 minutes ago BY TMZ STAFF
Michael Jackson's bedside table was lined with scores of prescription pill bottles -- this according to an investigator for the L.A. County Coroner's office.
Investigator Elissa Fleak just testified -- she inspected MJ's bedroom the day he died, and found the above collection of pill bottles beside the singer's bed.
Among the pills -- a collection of sedatives Diazepam, Lorazepam, Temazepam ... the list goes on.
Fleak says she also found a blue bag full of Propofol vials -- the same bag MJ's security guard Alberto Alvarez claims he packed on Murray's orders ... before calling 911.
