Their names had been tied to a car founded at an airport in Portland, Maine. But Bukhari's attorney said it appeared their identifications were stolen and said Bukhari had no role in the hijackings.Quelle:

(We're focusing particularly on Kamfar being on the manifest here, but there's much more to the article - go read it if you want to see what else they had to offer.)Quelle:
The argument has been taken up by many other 9/11 truth figures. Jay Kolar made similar claims in an essay printed in "The Hidden History of 9-11-2001", for instance, and these in turn have been referenced by David Ray Griffin.
Of course there's a very obvious problem with this chain of logic. They tend to simply assume Kamfar was on the manifest, when, as we've seen, the press stories immediately after the attacks show that was not the case. On the 12th of September ABC News reported a "be on the lookout" warning for a man perhaps armed with an AK-47, for example, strongly suggesting they believed he was alive. The next day the Miami Herald specifically listed him as a live suspect, separate from actual hijackers like Mohamed Atta. And on September 14th the Boston Herald printed the complete manifest, showing the passengers, the named hijackers, but not Kamfar, Bukhari or anyone else.

Two alleged associates of the hijackers, Adnan Bukhari and Amer Kamfar, attended flight schools in Florida and listed the Saudi Arabian Airlines post office box in the Saudi city of Jeddah as their home address on their commercial pilots' licenses. Bukhari, 41, who lived in Vero Beach, Fla., was taken into custody by FBI agents on Tuesday and questioned, law enforcement sources said. He was released after the FBI concluded he was not involved in the hijackings, according to federal law enforcement sources. Police in Florida identified Bukhari as a flight engineer for the Saudi airline.Quelle:
Last night, police in Florida were searching for Kamfar, who was reported to be at large and armed with an AK-47 assault rifle. Kamfar, 41, lived at the same Vero Beach address as Abdulrahman Alomari, who is listed in FAA records as having worked in flight operations for the Saudi airline and who was sitting next to Atta in the business section of American Airlines Flight 11, according to the passenger manifest.
The argument appears to run something like this. The FBI briefly investigated the Bukharis (for example), suspecting their involvement. This means the Bukhari's must have been on the manifest, nor Waleed and Wail al-Shehri. Therefore the claim that the hijackers had been correctly identified by 11:00 AM on 9/11 must be incorrect.Quelle:
If we're reading that properly, then the flaw is obvious. The fact that the Bukharis were investigated doesn't mean their name appeared on the manifest. Why could they not have briefly considered the possibility that the passengers booked as Waleed and Wail al-Shehri were actually the Bukharis? The FBI couldn't immediately be sure that the names provided by the hijackers were their real ones, and so would follow whatever lines of enquiry that came up. It's no surprise that there were initial mistakes (in fact this supports the idea that it was a real investigation, rather than simply everyone following a preplanned script).

What we can tell you is on the scanners our affiliate--our colleagues at WPLG, the Miami affiliate, picked up a BOLO, which is a 'be on the lookout' alert to local police for a man named Amer Kamfar, also known as Amar Tieb Kamfar (ph). The description is a 41-year-old man, 5 feet 9 inches, black hair, brown eyes, stocky build. They give that he was driving a 1996 silver Plymouth Voyager but Peter listen to this--this is issued by the FBI Terrorism Task Force. They say use extreme caution, this man is armed with an AK-47.Quelle:http://911myths.com/index.php/Amer_Kamfar (Archiv-Version vom 25.10.2010)

Investigators make some mistakes in suspect search
In the course of the investigation into Tuesday's terrorist attack, federal authorities have identified some suspects only to later say they were no longer under suspicion.
For example, the New York Times reported Sunday that a case of mistaken identity led the FBI to search a home in Vero Beach, where a Saudi Arabian pilot lived.
His name is similar to one used by one of the hijackers.
The Times reported that Abdul Rahman Alomari had returned to Saudi Arabia earlier this month. Authorities now are saying he is not a similarly named man, Abdulaziz Al Omari, who was listed as one of the 19 hijackers.
Authorities searched Al Omari's Vero Beach home and another rented by Adnam Bukhari, another pilot trainee. They also issued a police bulletin for Amer Kamfar, another friend of Al Omari's.
Bukhari was flown to Miami, questioned by authorities and released last week.
They found his name on some identification cards in Mohammed Atta's rented Nissan. You're right about one thing, someone was collecting Arab identities: Mohammed Atta and the hijackers. Probably for aliases, I don't know. It makes sense that the hijackers - some of whom were in the country illegally - would keep false ID's of legal Arab pilots on hand.Quelle:
Nothing about this incident shows U.S. complicity in, or foreknowledge of, the attacks. It's just an example of the confusion in the days after the attack. If anything the incident reinforces how little the U.S. government knew at the time.
