Last night was tensed on the Southern Front.
Orders came from the high command to all branches of the Syrian Arab Armed Forces to stay on high alert. The Syrian command do not have any intention into a full confrontation with an outside enemy. However, the 1974 cease fire agreement is no longer active. Syrian command will keep things minimal, but issued readeness orders to all of the military branches, including the Tank and Armor, and not only the missile brigades.
The Syrian military haven't been on such high alert since summer 2013 when the US threatened to attack Syria.
SyAF, and air defense is on full alert, even coalition air force is denied flying over CERTAIN areas inside the Syrian airspace.
Syrian missiles brigades are on full alert as well, the first patch of targets were programed into the guidance systems of the first missile patch in case a launch order comes on.
However, again, Syria will not be drawn into a full confrontation that will not benefit it, but will not allow a similar scenario to the one happened in 1982 Lebanon to happen on Syrian soil.

Less than 72 hours ago, the 82nd brigade of the Syrian Army was captured by al-Nusra terrorists after SAA units inside the brigade withdrew to another army point in Dar`aa.
Few hours ago, we got reports from the battlefield that SAA units recaptured the brigade from al-Nusra terrorists.
Also, the units captured advance defense points, on the direct front with al-Nusra terrorists, and reached the military housing in the south.

Three days after losing the strategic Battalion 82 Headquarters, the Syrian Arab Army’s (SAA) 5th Infantry Division countered the militant offensive with a fierce attack of their own, resulting in the recapture of the Oxygen Plant (Ma’amal Oksijeen) and Niqta Al-Masarat near the rebel-held city of Sheikh Miskeen in the Dara’a Governorate.

As a result of this success, the 5th Division pushed their way to the outskirts of the Battalion 82 Headquarters, targeting the northern entrance of the base; however, the 5th Division was unable to infiltrate the Al-Qaeda linked “Al-Nusra Front’s” (Jabhat Al-Nusra) frontline defenses due to the heavy shelling and gunfire they encountered.

Following the 5th Division’s attack, they withdrew from their positions at the northern outskirts in order to regroup with a National Defense Forces (NDF) contingent approaching Battalion 82.

The Southern Front Brigades of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) continued their offensive at the village of Dilli north of Sheikh Miskeen, bombarding the 5th Division near the southwest sector and gaining ground in the direction of the village-center.

In Busra Al-Sham, the 5th Division confronted a contingent from the Al-Nusra Front near the famous Roman Amphitheater – fierce firefights broke-out between the groups, resulting in the death of 8 Al-Nusra militants and 3 SAA soldiers.

Intense firefights continued in the city of Deir Al-‘Adas between the SAA’s 7th Division and members of the FSA – no further details from the battle.
