It's relatively simple to get a grasp of it, yes - but beyond that, it get's more complicated. English isn't less expressive than the German or indeed any other language, you just have to know how to say it.

It can be as expressive as any other Language, but i think the Grammar is not as complicated as in other Languages. The declination of Verbs is another example.
