Host: Before we talk about the hospital – When you left here, did you think about carrying out a suicide operation, Ahmad?
Ahmad: Never.
Host: What did you have in mind when you left for Iraq?
Ahmad: I thought they would give me a weapon to fight with.
Host: So you were against suicide operations?
Ahmad: Absolutely.
Host: Didn't you talk to them about this?
Ahmad: They asked me at the beginning: "Do you want to be a suicide bomber?" – or, as they called it, "a martyrdom-seeker"? I said no. Some people want to do this, but not me.
Host: And they accepted that you didn't want to be a suicide bomber?
Ahmad: The question was "Do you want to or not?" and I said no, and that was the end of it. They never asked me again.
Host: So what about putting you on this tanker?
Ahmad: That question speaks for itself.
Host: Do you think they tried to kill you?
Ahmad: I cannot swear they were trying to kill me, but what happened speaks for itself. Then they called my father and told him: "Your son was killed, martyred." My father didn't even know I had gone to Iraq. He asked: "How was he killed?" and they said: "Your son was killed. That's it."
