I don't see how the 9 photos of OP can have consecutive numbers if 4 were taken initially and the other 5 (concerned mainly with prosthetic legs) were taken after a lot of other photos in between. The photo numbers presented in court must be assigned after they are selected to present.
I think what Roux is getting at by asking for the meta data and camera card is that each photo should have a sequential number assigned by the camera.
Given the Mickey Mouse CSI work testified to so far, I do wonder IF some photos have "vanished" at some stage.

Good point. There's definitely something on Roux's mind here. It's a risky one though, as without knowing what's on those photo's, if they turn up it could work against him. I'm not too sure what advantage finding more photos would give Roux, other than another stab at proving incompetence. Not sure it's a risk I'd take if I were defending.

The point may be more evidence of unreliable CSI work... discrediting it all generally. Plus there does seem to be discrepancies on time line who was where when etc.
There is no denying the obvious scene in general..... but "the Devil is in the details"
"Reasonable Doubt" is the game that defense need to play. The burden is on the State to present a clear case and not one with lingering doubts.

I missed the afternoon session, thanks from the updates everyone.

I can see Roux wanting the actual camera card. I know with my camera's SD card the pictures numbers are assigned in sequence of the order of taking. If a camera shot was later deleted from the card that shot's number will be missing from the order of sequence. It will be interesting.

Also from last week's testimony I thought Van Resberg was there and up in the bed/bath area with other officers before both Botha and Van Staden even arrived. If I get time I may go back and try to find Resberg's testimony.

He did ask for the card, and it's coming. Nel spoke to it and said that Van Staden would need to oversee the defense viewing the card.

Van Staden said he knows time from "looking at his watch" which is not exactly a "scientific" approach if in fact he has photos with meta data accurate times down to seconds

he (Nel) didn't object to the metadata being handed over, he just wanted it supervised while in the hands of defence. The entire time. And wanted it back. Which does still have pretty poor implications about the level of trust.....

I thought he said there were nine photos in total, of OP and his legs. I'm not sure if they were all put in the album though. I just thought he took photos of OP's body in the garage, then of his legs after they were removed in the garage. But maybe the legs were not made available until OP was sent to the police station?

The legs were damaged, it's reported here, with the synthetic skin scraped off in places and pure white showing through in patches.

hmmmm, verwirrend ... das stimmt.

jetzt ist natürlich die frage ob auf den fotos, die heute gezeigt worden (alle von der jeans und wand am 14.2.) sind das datum stimmt ... denn auf den bildern, sieht es eher so aus, als wäre das per hand/pc dazu gefügt mit text dazu ... denn das datum steht nicht direkt auf den fotos, so wie man es von digitalkameras kennt

Der Fotograf hat wohl zuerst die Bilder mit der Jeans gemacht, danach wurde diese zur Spurensicherung mitgenommen - dann noch ein Bild ohne Jeans - müsste sich doch anhand der Daten feststellen lassen

So, die jeans ist nun zugeordnet, also unter KLOfenster. Nun geht es zum Fenster, kaputt ohne Splitter. Das von euch als 3. Bild ('ohne Hose Bild') mit der angelehnten Schaufel. Auf diesem Bild ist es das Paterrefenster und an diesem das ganz linke Fensterteil (in the eye of theb..).

das ist richtig, aber über der schaufel oben ist das toilettenfenster, sieht man dort auf dem bild nur nicht weil andere einstellung

bzw. über dem lüftungsgitter

Wir wissen nicht, wann und wodurch es zu Bruch ging und dass dort keine Scherben lieben, ist aufgrund der freilaufenden Hunde logisch oder?

Würde man seine jeans aus diesem Klofenster vorwegschmeissen, um dann selber hinterher zu springen? Wenn man es seeehr eilig hat, schon oder? Oder gleich ohne jeans, so wie man ist?

das hat hier ja auch niemand behauptet, die jeans sei von einem einbrecher ...

hier geht es gerad nur darum, wieso und wann die jeans auf dem einen foto drauf ist und auf dem nächsten wieder nicht mehr ;)

Es kommt nicht mir komisch vor, sondern es wurde heute so vorgeführt, wie ich schon mal schrieb: erstes Bild dieser Aussenanlage als Blick an der Hauswand entlang in diesen Teildes gartens mit katzenhund. Nächstes Bild von den Badfenstern. Dann Bild mit Hose. Dann Bild mit unterem loungefenster. Dann näheres Bild von eben diesem Fenster mit dem Kommentar, broken. Nachfrage Richterin, dann ja broken ohne Splitter. Mehr gab es dazu nicht.

Evtl. war dies eine fortlaufende Fotostrecke

das versuchten wir ja vorhin raus zu finden, laut bildern die gezeigt wurden, alles datum 14.2. ... die zeiten kann man leider nicht sehr gut im video von der übersetzerin verstehen

OK. Viellleicht wollte man damit klarmachen, dass intruder diesen Weg nicht wählen würden, wenn schon eine bessere Einstiegsmöglichkeit - broken window - vorhanden. Oder broken window im Zusammenhang mit Streit - wo dann Scherben - aber wie gesagt...In erster Linie ging es um den Beweis der Daten - die tatsächlichen Objekte evtl. zweitrangig...

ich sags mal so - es wurde heute wert darauf gelegt dass es eine lückenlose fotostrecke sein sollte - ist es aber nicht - und das ist Roux auch schon ohne die jeans aufgefallen
