I assume that Nikola Tesla was an outstanding wizard in science and technology.

Today we have many scientists, engineers and IT specialists who can be regarded as wizards.

Wizards are persons exceptionally gifted or clever at a specified activity.

Sorcerers try to get access to the devine by throwing lots to the ground. They look at the pattern of the whole lots and read them or they pick out one out of many lots and lay a special meaning on this selected lot. Sorcerers sort things out. sors = share, lot. Sorcerers cast spells.

In wizardry there may be an implication of evil powers but not necessarily. Wizardry often just means that someone has a remarkable skill or cleverness.

That definition of sorcerer sounds a bit like a form of shamanic activity.
