I think school medicine and alternative medicine should work together. If someone tells you to never take school medicine because it's bad don't trust that person. Alternive medicine should only be a helper, a supporter for the school medicine. School medicine should always be first choice and the basis of a treatment

Yeah, I'm fine if someone wants to get massage therapy or something in addition to their meds, but without real medicine to back it up then it's just a costly placebo. I don't know how it translates into German, but we say "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." (yeah, I know, stupid Imperial units of measurement XD)

As long as you still continue using school medicine you should be fine. The worst thing alternative medicine can do is that they don't do anything and don't work at all;-)
