The latest from the LHC
Last night the first collisions of protons at the world-record energy of 2.36 TeV (1.18 TeV per beam) were recorded by the ATLAS experiment at CERN. The ATLAS team posted an image of one candidate collision event on its Web site. In addition to setting world records--for proton beam energy on November 29, and last night for proton collision energy--the team operating the Large Hadron Collider at CERN, and the teams operating the LHC experiments, have been hard at work. Here are a few more highlights from the last week and a half

Was willst du genau sagen mit dem LHC test?

Der LHC steht schon paar Km von Norwegen entfernt.

...in den Dimensionen in welchen der LHC Spielt ist und bekannte "Entfernung " nichts .....

Habe gerade Cern angeschrieben und nachgefragt .......
Wie Maxtron oben schon schrieb liefen gestern erstmals Experimente im Bereich bisher nicht bekannter Energien.

Ich hab mal bei einem anderen Partikelbeschleuniger gesehen,
ein Auto das in der Nähe stand, das Blech merkwürdig verformt war.
Das konnte sich auch keiner erklären, evt. elektromagnetische

Das LHC könnte unbekannte wissenschaftliche Effekte verursachen,
wie Dimensionsportale oder Wurmlöcher, hat angeblich ein
Wissenschaftler in Cern behauptet.

'Something may come through' dimensional 'doors' at LHC
A top boffin at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) says that the titanic machine may possibly create or discover previously unimagined scientific phenomena, or "unknown unknowns" - for instance "an extra dimension".
But some boffins have speculated that black holes might alternatively act as spacewarp wormhole portals into alternate universes, or something. This would seem to chime with Bertolucci's remarks this week on hyperdimensional "doors" out of which might come unspecified "somethings".

Ok, ich kenn mich mit der Materie nicht aus.
Klar ist für mich, man kann nicht abschätzen was passiert, Theoretische Physik ist nunmal ne Theorie.

Angeblich soll es möglich sein, dass ein schwarzes Loch entstehen kann, aber zu klein ist um beständig zu sein.

Also wirklich am 09 Dezember taucht sowas auf in Norwegen und am 10 Dezember ist in Norwegen die Firedensnobelpreis verleihung mit Obama. Sehr merkwürdig.

Im LHC wird Theorie praktiziert aber theoretisch hatten die auch nie Probleme bei der Inbetriebnahme. Ein Taschenrechner ist keine Glaskugel.

Kann man irgendwo satellitenbilder die aus der zeit stammen sehen? Weiß das jemand?

also ich finde zumindest nix, aber ich weiß auch nicht genau was ich googeln soll :-( aber hier gibts ja googel spezialisten hehe
