And I despise this human body 1.0; I want augmentations without an end! I want to be able to see in the dark like cats, to see the infrared spectrum like the predator and so on... :D

We already live in a pretty kickass time, but I just imagine what it could be like if I could replace my frail human parts with metal and plastic and composites... metal and plastic can't get cancer, for one thing. Some computer memory to supplement my brain's capacity, plus the ability to connect that part to the internet. Want to learn a new language? Just download it!

The only big hurdle would be keeping that one indispensable piece of meat called the brain fresh. If we had cybernetics, though, then hopefully medical science would be able to use stem cells to regenerate neurons or something of the sort.
