Battlelore ist eine finnische Metal-Band aus Lappeenranta. Ihre Liedtexte befassen sich fast ausschließlich mit Ereignissen und Personen aus dem Tolkienschen Universum, der Fantasy-Welt des Autors J. R. R. Tolkien. Laut Jyri Vahvanen basiert der Bandname auf dem Hauptthema von Tolkiens Werk, den Schlachten (engl. battle) in Verbindung mit Folklore. Die Gruppe selbst bezeichnet ihre Musik als Epic Fantasy Metal.Seit Oktober 2011 ist die Band inaktiv.
