nachdem ich mich nun etwas über die endsequenz informiert hab und denke, sie zu verstehen, find ich sie sogar ziemlich gut und passend zum restlichen spielverlauf
also doch ein gelungener abschluss
im detail bleibt das zwar offen, alles andere wäre bei diesem spiel aber auch nicht zu erwarten gewesen
:Ddas ende:
SpoilerElizabeth takes Booker to a place outside space and time, explaining that they are within one of an infinite number of possible realities, with each one being created as a result of a choice Booker has made. She shows that he was visited by Robert Lutece, working for Comstock, and was told to "give us the girl and wipe away the debt", referring to his infant child, Anna DeWitt – the "AD" branding Booker has. Booker willingly sold Anna but had a last-minute change of heart, arriving too late to stop Comstock and the Luteces escaping through a tear with Anna; the closing of the tear severed the child's finger. Comstock subsequently raised Anna as Elizabeth, his daughter. Later, Robert Lutece, angry at Elizabeth's treatment, coerces Rosalind to help him bring Booker to Columbia to rescue Elizabeth, setting the events of the game in motion.
Booker plans to hunt down every version of Comstock to prevent his nightmarish vision from coming to pass, but Elizabeth convinces Booker that every choice he makes will only create a new reality, with a new Comstock, making it impossible to stop him. Instead, she points to the common denominator of all these realities: the point where Booker was to be baptized and cleansed of his sins after the Battle of Wounded Knee. One version of Booker accepted the baptism and would go on to become the religious Comstock, while another version ran from the baptism at the last moment, becoming the Booker she knows. Elizabeth takes him to the scene of this choice, where they encounter versions of Elizabeth from other realities. Booker allows them to drown him, preventing the choice from ever being made and thus stopping Comstock from rising up as a religious fanatic. One by one, the Elizabeths disappear, leaving a single Elizabeth standing in the water.
In a post-credits sequence, Booker awakens in his old apartment and hears music in the next room. He calls Anna's name and opens the door before the screen cuts to black.
