It's not quite, because it requires the parent was born there - not simply citizenship of the parent. They also combine it with jus soli, like a lot of countries do.

The Polish Law doesn't know Ius Soli. Only if an orphan shows up and the parents are nowhere to be found. Only then the Polish Citizenship is granted to people whose identity cannot be resolved.
And you can never lose it unless if you want to.

And yeah, we've had this discussion before. American citizenship is the same way, can't lose it unless you renounce it of your own free will.
