Antwort an Niels Harrit
24.09.2011 um 10:33Heute bin ich endlich dazu gekommen, Niels Harrit zu antworten:
Dear Niels,Vielleicht könnt Ihr euch mal kurz das Video in Harrits Mail ansehen - möglicherweise kennt jemand das sicherlich qualitativ bessere Original. Hier der Link zur bearbeiteten Version:
Sorry for the late response, I was very busy writing some extensions to a software package which I had written few years ago (fully coded land surveying).
OK, let's have a look at the video. First of all I'd like to see the original. The recording was made from a helicopter, most likely the heli of a news agency or tv station, therefore I assume, that the resolution of the original is much better than the YouTube - copy.
Nevertheless some statements about the features which David Chandler calls "smoking gun" can be made:
1) The clouds on the west side which appear at the very beginning of the collapse. This is exactly what I'd expect when the upper block of the building leans to the east and then cmes down through the path of least resistance. (Yes, straight down _is_ the path of least resistance. It would need much more energy to make the top of the Building fall over - think about it - how high would the center of gravity of the upper block have to be lifted up until the block falls over?)
So the upper block leaned to the east and then, during the collapse, slowly moved back to vertical. During that period more air was pressed out on the west side. Of course the clouds are mainly not smoke, but dust and debris and the different color is, as can be clearly seen, due to the sunshine coming form east. The clouds change their color as soon as they come out of the shadow.

for a different view of the colors of the cloud.
2) I made a rough calculation some time ago which shows, that less than half ways down the air from the flloors must have been pressed out at supersonic speeds. An airflow at this speed can, as experience in tornadoes has shown, press straw deep int wood, it can totally demolish buildings, throw cars through the air and more. At certain points this airflow must have reached the expansion speed of gases during explosions. No need for explosives, debris was thrown out of the collapsing tower at different speeds and in different vertical and horizontal angles. Of course part of the compressed air was also pressed into some storeys below the point of crushing, which explains why the clouds appear some distance below the point of actual crushing
3) I don't know anything about the "rocket", the resolution is not good enough to allow more than wild guesses. I will try to find a better quality version of this video.
Just one more point which speeks for the NIST explanation of the initiation of the collapse:
The south tower was hit as the second, but collapsed first, which is quite natural, given the fact that the load above the impacht point was roughly double as high as the load in the north tower.
Looking forward to hear from you.
Regards
Robert
