JACKSON, WYOMING (BNO NEWS) -- A moderate earthquake rattled western Wyoming on early Wednesday evening, not far from the state border with Indiana, seismologists said.

The 4.8-magnitude earthquake at 6.04 p.m. local time (0004 GMT Thursday) was centered approximately 25 miles (45 kilometers) east-northeast of Jackson, a town located in the Jackson Hole valley of Teton County. It struck about 3.1 miles (5 kilometers) deep, making it a shallow earthquake, according to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).

Ups, ... am Rand der Chaldera...
hoffentlich bleibt es ruhig...ich würde gerne den YS Park und vor allem die Erde noch in vernünftigem Zustand weiter bestaunen können

Im Bereich Indonesien, Paqua Neu Guinea denke ich an zwei Möglichkeiten...
entweder rummst es innerhalb kürzester Zeit (vielleicht einigen Wochen) richtig mit einer 8 vor dem Komma, oder die Platte verhakt sich und es beruhigt sich massiv.

Naja ich habe jetzt erst geschnallt das WYOMING ein Bundesstaat ist,Idaho war ja klar, deshalb die Frage ob das eine andere Region ist,weil es die gleiche Uhrzeit ist an dem das Beben an beiden Orten stattfand...
