Well, for sure itisn't right that we just sit in front of the Tv, but all in all there are many childrenwho likes to watch it maybe the whole day after school.

Violent scenes in TV getnormal, children are watching them ... (p.e horror films)

1. Yes, of course, everything you do isinfluencing you, no matter if you talk with your parents or listen to the radio, or watchTV. Television sometimes seem to make people feel more contented, because real lifeproblems aren't mentioned when you watch TV, just fictional problems like “ Which ofthose twenty girls, who want to have sex with me, should I choose, maybe all?!”

2. I think you can say if it is good or bad in general.

It's never good to encourage someone to watch always TV!
You could get theinformation e.g. from a newspaper.
It's both not good for the eyes to watch TV allday long and for healthy not either.
So presenting it as a religion means to me thatthe involved persons are careless.

Besides, you'll loose human contacts!

Hypocrite. You're guilty of it too. I am. We all are. I do agree though, it isn't rightthat we sit all day in front of the TV. TV has it's bad points and it's good ones,though. There's channels with no value whatsoever, but channels like Discovery can bequite educational.

I don't suppose television can be more enlightening than a book.
A book is easier to'control'. It won't manipulate you in a way, you don't want it to influence you.Therefore I have a preference to read books and not to stare at a TV.

I don`t like watching tv (eccept MTV); there`s a lot of -sorry- bullshit...
My littlesister likes cartoons. Tv is everything for her... just as bad as my father :(

But it isn`t easy to control this addiction - unfortunately.
I don`t know how tothink `bout this subject.
